For All Saints Day, experience a lush and evocative program to warm the soul and soothe your spirit in the majestic Cathedral of Saint Mark. You’ll hear Bach’s elegant Komm, Jesu, Komm, a dramatic and melodic motet invoking our prayer for comfort and peace. We honor the departed in We Remember Them by Grantham and Not One Sparrow is Forgotten by Hawley. You’ll discover the powerful masterwork Requiem by Italian composer Pizzetti, composed for voices in 1922 and based in chant. In Paradisium by Eric Sayre illuminates the young composer’s grief and healing following his father’s untimely death, while When David Heard explores David’s tragic loss of his son, Absalom. A magnificent Russian setting of Our Father and music by Christiansen promise eternal rest and endless light in a Day Full of Grace.
