Oratorio Concert

ACDA Oratorio Concert

March 5, 2010
7:30 pm
Orchestra Hall
Minneapolis, Minnesota

An extraordinary evening of choral masterworks and inspired music-making at Orchestra Hall presented by the 2010 American Choral Directors’ Conference for the North Central Division. Conducted by nationally recognized choral conductor Craig Hella Johnson, Magnum Chorum and The Singers unite with The St. Olaf Orchestra to present an evening to remember! You’ll hear the luminous and intensely moving Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen, a modern setting of the Requiem in five movements for choir and orchestra. You’ll also hear the colorfully vibrant Ode to Common Things by Cary Ratcliff, who sets the poetry of Pablo Neruda in celebration of human connectedness across time and culture. Sublime sounds await you!

Tickets for the Oratorio ACDA Collaboration Concert are available through the Minnesota Orchestra Box Office.  You may order directly from their web site or by phone at (800) 292-4141.
