Discover the power of hope and faith in profound choral music celebrating the resilience of the human spirit. "O Lord, make me an instrument of your peace," pray the words of St. Francis of Assisi in Voices of Peace. Jeffrey Van's Procession Winding Around Me was composed after an unexpected visit to the battlefield in Gettysburg. His brilliant guitar and choral work sets the timeless poetry of Walt Whitman. Dresden Canticles by Dickau brings healing in the aftermath of war, and celebrates the joyful rebuilding of a church destroyed in WWII. Peace I Leave With You offers a moment for renewal and the reassuring message of John 14:27. Let your spirit be filled by Bach's glorious Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace), Clausen's hopeful There is a Balm in Gilead, and melodic music by Miskinis in a timely and hopeful program for spring.
